HOW LONG DOES THE INSPECTION TAKE & WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE REPORT?
A lot of factors play into the timeline of your inspection (age, size and the condition of the home). With that being said, an average time for the initial inspection can be estimated to take approximately 4 hours, with a verbal report the same day and the written report being produced by the following day.
HOW MUCH IS AN INSPECTION?
For a basic home inspection you can expect the cost to start at $375 with prices to increase based off of square footage, condition of the house, and if additional services are requested. For example adding a wind mitigation inspection or a 4 point inspection, while increasing the home inspection cost, as a bundle it will discount the cost of any add ons.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN AN INSPECTION?
A home inspection includes a non-invasive, visual examination of the critical components and systems, including a detailed inspection report of the property. The report is designed to inform and identify defects of said property. Some of the components inspected include
Roof, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Structure components and the interior and exterior components.
IS THERE ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE AN INSPECTION?
Your inspector will send you a small list of things that will need to be done prior to the inspection to insure a more thorough and efficient inspection.
